LIFESTYLE BEHAVIOUR THEMED RESEARCH GRANT CALL
Following the maiden stakeholder engagement on obesity organised by the Presidency and the Brunel Global Public Health Academy in Accra (in December 2019), an agency under the Office of the President is inviting research proposals on lifestyle behaviours in Ghana. The focus of this call is to fund innovative research into understanding the dynamics of lifestyle behaviours in Ghana. The call offers investigators the flexibility to focus on any field in the topic area. Interested proposals can draw from all disciplines. We particularly encourage cutting-edge proposals drawing on novel techniques based on multi-disciplinary concepts.
The call is available for proposals ranging from GH₵250,000 to GH₵3 million. Overheads or indirect costs will not be funded.
The lead investigator must hold permanent faculty position and be a Ghanaian national. Investigators who are not members of a faculty must provide covering letter from a host institution, confirming that, if successful, the investigator will be accommodated by the institution and provided the necessary facilities in delivering the project. Applicants should demonstrate considerable research experience in lifestyle behaviours or equivalent
The grant proposals must cover rationale, specific aims, methods, analysis, budget, CVs of investigators and duration of the project. Successful grants to commence no later than October 2022.
